As part of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Caen, the City of Caen's mission to promote the city's heritage is offering an exceptional tour of the Bon Sauveur chapel.
In June and July 1944, Le Bon Sauveur was transformed into a Passive Defense Reception Center. The mission de valorisation du patrimoine invites you to retrace the route taken by the rescue teams to get from the Abbaye-aux-Hommes to the Bon Sauveur.
The visit will include the chapel built by Léon Rême, famous for its admirable stained glass by Gabriel Loire. The sacristy and cloister are also on the program.
