The Association de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine de Chouain, in partnership with the ADTLB, invites you to an evening of cinema and discovery of Chouain's heritage, with an open-air screening of Martin Bourboulon's film Les Trois Mousquetaires : d'Artagnan, released in 2023.

The evening is part of the Conseil Départemental's Cinéma et Patrimoine initiative to promote Calvados' heritage.

The film screening will be preceded by a convivial picnic where everyone brings their own lunch. This will be followed by a guided tour of the Chouain church, a beautifully restored edifice dating from the 13th and 18th centuries, and of the Cordillon manor farm, built in the Louis XIII style and once owned by the Matignon family, an ascending branch of Monaco's ruling family.

The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan by Martin Bourboulon, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, with François Civil in the role of d'Artagnan.

D'Artagnan, a spirited young Gascon, is left for dead after trying to save a young woman from kidnapping. When he arrives in Paris, he uses every means at his disposal to track down his attackers, while pursuing his dream of becoming a musketeer. He is successively challenged to a duel by three friends, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, but following a confrontation with the Cardinal's guards, their quarrel with d'Artagnan turns into a friendship. Little does d'Artagnan know that his quest will lead him to the heart of a real war in which the future of France is at stake, against a backdrop of tension between Catholics and Protestants, and between France and England
