In 2024, Deauville celebrates 100 years of Les Planches and Les Bains pompéiens. A place for sea bathing, strolling, socializing, games, meetings and events... Les Planches and its art deco cabins, designed by architect Charles Adda and inaugurated on July 6, 1924, have remained Deauville's most visited, surveyed and photographed site ever since.
As part of the centenary celebrations, this immersive virtual reality experience, the fruit of collaboration between the Noovae studio specializing in 3D heritage modeling and Les Franciscaines, takes visitors back in time to discover the Deauville of its origins and the evolution of its waterfront between 1859 and 1924. Equipped with a virtual reality headset and joystick, immersion takes you to the deserted marshes when Deauville was just a village, to the construction of the first villas and then the grand palaces, and to a playful observation of the evolution of seaside practices.
