Gorges de la Vire
The natural area of the Gorges de la Vire is crossed by the rivers Vire and Souleuvre in a landscape of great variety! Granite plateaus alternate with valleys carved by schist, wooded hills, rocky outcrops and valleys follow one another..
Located in the Pays de Vire, between the communes of St-Marie-Outre-l'Eau and Le Bény-Bocage, the route of the Gorges de la Vire (30km circuit by car), will make you discover its typical and green landscapes as well as its rural heritage and its small villages
A good road map or a GPS are recommended! Follow the route with the leaflet opposite. This route is accessible from the A84 (exits n°39 to 41), D675 (Caen-Villedieu-les-Poeles-Le-Mont-St-Michel), D577 (Caen-Vire) and D674 (Vire-St-Lô).
