Situated to the west of the beach at Lion sur mer, the Confessionnaux cliff is a unique and wild natural area. The caves, formed by the onslaught of the tides, offer an unusual sight, to be admired from afar. Indeed, the risk of landslides forbids approaching less than ten metres. This cliff is a geological and palaeontological site of international reference for the Upper Bathonian period (165 million years ago). Small quantities of fossils may be collected, but only on the beach, several metres from the cliff.
As an added bonus, dogs are allowed on this part of the beach all year round.
