The church foundations date back to the 13th and 14th century. It underwent extensive modification in the 18th century. The stone used for its construction includes green schist from Pont de la Mousse and grey schist from Gouvix.

The Romanesque door also dates from the 18th century, as does the high altar and its panel representing an apparition by the Virgin and Child. On either side of the altarpiece, 2 early 18th century reliquaries and wooden statues of St. Lambert and St. Roch have been installed. Several statues are listed historic monuments.
