Located behind the law court, Lisieux’s former bishops’ residence is located within the Diocesan Garden, a formal French garden recreated in 1837. Several amusements for children. Music kiosk, water fountain. Impressive floral arrangements in the high season.
The garden’s main entrance is in Place Mitterrand, at the foot of St. Peter’s Cathedral. Go under the porch and up the stairs to the end of the Matignon courtyard.
You can also enter via Rue Foch and Boulevard Carnot (suitable for disabled visitors).
