Born in Deauville, raised in Trouville sur mer, I'll take you on a bike tour of both towns.
According to the local newspaper of 1827, Trouville sur mer, then a fishing village, became "the queen of beaches".
Deauville would compete with it from 1860, attracting even more wealthy summer visitors.
We'll cover everything from fishing and wildlife to sea bathing, local history, architecture, personalities and anecdotes...
Thanks to the bike, we'll be able to get away from the usual neighborhoods and discover places you might never have thought of!
