Heritage of itineraries, networks and connections". The Priory of Mont-Saint-Michel perfectly illustrates the theme of the 2024 European Heritage Days! Situated 4 km from the Mont on the pilgrimage route, since the 12th century it has welcomed thousands of pilgrims and walkers from all over the world to pray to the Archangel Saint Michael. After the French Revolution, the Priory's fate changed, and today it is once again being used as a place of hospitality, under the impetus of the Fondation du Mont-Saint-Michel, which is working to revive this heritage site and promote the cultural, spiritual and heritage influence of the Mont and its Bay.
Come and discover its thousand-year-old history, thanks to the volunteers of the Mont-Saint-Michel Priory Association, who are mobilized to welcome, guide and enthusiastically share all that is lived and done in this unique place in the Bay.
