Cyrano! And that says it all. Is it really necessary to paint a portrait of the man everyone knows even without having read him? Cyrano. Who is he in our imagination? A lonely, truculent, devilishly poetic hero, more or less paunchy depending on who's playing him, a wriggling forty-something. It's a certain film starring Depardieu. Some may remember Huster, Weber or Belmondo. These are multiple adaptations with swords and big voices.
Théâtre Les Pieds Nus wanted to revisit the story in its own way, because we believe that to change one's point of view is sometimes to reveal something. What we know by heart requires something new.
Everything has been said, shown and edited. Has it really?
And if it were played by 3 women...?
Cyrano would have loved it.
