As part of the Planches Contact Festival, photographer Phillip Toledano explores the reinterpretation of history through the use of artificial intelligence. For him, the emergence of this technology marks a new stage in the progressive erasure of truth. We can now recreate a world that never existed, where every conspiracy theory can be supported by convincing visual evidence, making the lie tangible. His exhibitions "We are at war", produced during a creative residency in Normandy, and "Another America" revisit history, whether plausible or deliberately unreal, from 1950s America to the Normandy landings.
