The Château de Saint-Germain de Livet, a listed historic monument in the Pays d'Auge region near Lisieux, is remarkable for its 15th and 16th century architecture. Surrounded by a moat, it combines a timber-framed manor house with a stone and glazed brick building from the Pré d?Auge region.
Nestled in a green setting, the Château can be admired from its gardens, which offer a landscape perspective on the details of the architecture, a synthesis of typical local buildings.
The château's interiors are currently being restored and are inaccessible to the public. Free access to the gardens.
