Situated high above the village of Camembert, the Manoir de Beaumoncel was built around 1650 in the "augeron normand" style, and is a fine half-timbered house typical of the Pays d'Auge region. It was here, during the French Revolution, that Marie Harel is said to have invented the famous Camembert cheese. During a special open house, discover the secrets of this 17th-century farm through an outdoor tour of the main house, bread oven, old wine press, barn and dovecote.
