There is a wide variety of mills, which can be classified according to the driving force they use: water, wind, human or animal power, as well as their function. They can be grain, tan, fulling, iron, paper or oil mills. In the 19th century, Orne was a department with a high mill density. It ranked 7th in France.
This workshop is aimed at anyone wishing to retrace the history of such a building.
