A true New Yorker who landed in France for love, Sebastian Marx has imported to Paris the art of stand-up comedy, typically American but cooked up in a Frenchy sauce.
With his "Made in NY" accent, which places him phonetically "somewhere between Jane Birkin and Karl Lagerfeld? bourré", the comedian unfolds his career in France.
Playing on the cultural gap between the two sides of the Atlantic, he pokes fun at the French language that has given him so much trouble.
After 15 years in France, Sebastian is done for: he's right here... Although he still speaks French with a German tourist accent, being a foreigner is no longer an excuse. He now has to deal with all the problems of a "forty-something Franco-Jewish New Yorker with 3 young children": how do you react when your daughter corrects your French? When your cleaning lady finds your house "disgusting"? When you're a cicada lost in a world of ants? The things of life?
