Since the 19th century, to enhance its status as a seaside resort, Lion-sur-Mer has developed sporting activities: tennis, croquet, fencing, regattas, mini-golf, gymnastics... Mostly on the beach!
Echoing the Olympic Games 2024, the Bibliothèque pour Tous is organizing an exhibition on sports and games played in Lion-sur-Mer from the Belle Epoque to the 1960s, featuring reproductions of original documents and old postcards on loan from local collectors.
Free access all summer long on Library for All opening days: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
