Construction of the church in Saint-Rémy-sur-Orne began in the 12th century. It was built using coated limestone rubble on the foundations of a former chapel.
The church boasts a fine high altar, adorned with woodwork, elaborate sculptures and coupled Corinthian columns. The choir is also decorated with a number of mural paintings by the French artist Chifiey in 1895. They tell the story of the life of St. Remy.
