Bayeux Botanic Garden

Parks and gardens

6 acre landscaped park laid out in 1859 by the Bühler brothers, who are also responsible for the Parc de la Tête d'Or in Lyon or the Parc du Thabor in Rennes. Amongst the 400 trees, the most spectacular specimen is the 'weeping beech' listed as a natural monument since 1932 and designated a 'Remarkable Tree'. Visitors can explore the gardens and discover its principal trees and plants, by following a trail equipped with information panels.
