We all dream of having lunch or dinner in a magical setting. From the Bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel to Etretat, from the Chausey Islands to Dieppe, we will take you on a tour of our selection of restaurants with a real Wow factor!

Overlooking the Bay

Let’s begin with one of the most beautiful places in France, if not the world: the one and only Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay. The Duguesclin restaurant is within the village walls. One of its dining rooms has a breathtaking view of the Bay. You’ll meet a lot of locals, which is a good sign. We suggest going in the evening or out of season to enjoy the tranquillity of the place.

Breathtaking views of the Nez de Jobourg cliffs

Auberge des Grottes, restaurant at the Nez de Jobourg

Let’s now head to one of the highest cliffs in continental Europe. The Nez de Jobourg is the second most visited site in La Manche. What makes the Auberge des Grottes so special? Its unbeatable views of the Nez de Jobourg of course! Lobster, seafood and pancakes with salted caramel spread are just some of the specialities you can enjoy here.

On an island!

Let’s set sail to Europe’s largest archipelago, with its 365 islands at low tide: Chausey! Surrounded by the rocks, the white sand as far as the eye can see, the ever-changing seascapes, you can sit back and enjoy a meal at ‘La Table des Iles’. The restaurant is the perfect place to taste the famous blue lobster.

With a 180-degree view

Here’s another restaurant with breathtaking sea views, ideal for a tête-à-tête. The backdrop is the island of Tatihou, the coastal village of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, the D-Day Landing Beaches and the Val de Saire countryside. It’s hard to beat! The Féron family work with local producers as often as possible.

At the foot of the cliffs

At the very end of the promenade in Dieppe, right beneath the cliffs, the Bas Fort Blanc restaurant is a unique and amazing spot! The restaurant overlooks the beach, and is the ideal place to enjoy summer sunsets or winter storms! Don’t miss the famous and traditional dessert trolley. Even if you’re full, you won’t be able to say No!

At the heart of a nature reserve

La Réserve Péché Iodé, restaurant
La Réserve Péché Iodé

In addition to a magical view of the Orne estuary, La Réserve Péché Iodé serves dishes made with local produce and sourced through short distribution channels. Overlooking the bay, in the heart of the nature reserve, you can enjoy seafood, scallops, Normandy lobster and grilled meats. What’s not to love?

A bird’s eye view of the famous cliffs of Etretat

Etretat and its famous cliffs need no introduction. For a unique view, we recommend the Dormy House restaurant overlooking the village. You’ll have a front row seat in this panoramic restaurant. The dining room seems to float on the surface of the water. For those on a tighter budget, there is also the Bistrot du Dormy.

In the land of Monet

La Musardière in Giverny

Let’s leave the coast for Giverny, Claude Monet’s eldorado, where he lived here for many years. When the weather is fine, the terrace of the hotel-restaurant overlooks the charming village. Meet us at 123 rue Claude Monet.

By the River Seine

Let’s move closer to the Seine. Le Vieil Andely, set in a meander (and what a meander it is!) of the River Seine, with the imposing Château Gaillard in the background, is as pretty as can be. Take a seat at one of the tables of the restaurant La Chaîne d’Or, in front of a roaring fire or on the terrace when the weather is fine, and enjoy the view.

At the top of the Roche d’Oëtre

La Roche d’Oëtre is the kind of landscape you wouldn’t expect to find in Normandy. At 118 metres, this listed natural site offers breathtaking views of the Rouvre Gorges. Take a gourmet break at the Café du Caillou, which makes the most of local produce and favours organic products. Concerts are held here in the summer.
