The Mists of Trouville — A real-life investigation

A misty morning on the quays of Trouville-sur-Mer. Just as the fishermen are setting out to sea, a gruesome discovery shatters the harbour’s tranquillity: Jean Le Carou, skipper of the Saint-Michel II, is found dead. Accident, a settling of scores, or premeditated murder? No one seems to know what happened, but one thing is certain: someone has something to hide.

For two hours, the amateur detectives roam the town’s streets, meet the key figures in the case, gather clues and cross-check information to piece together the victim’s final hours. From the quays to the back streets, every step brings them closer to the truth or leads them down a false trail. You’ll need to look out for details, question the suspects, test your theories against one another and be wary of first impressions: here, everyone might have a reason to lie.

Organised by Concept Sport Émotion, this mystery tour combines maritime heritage, observation and teamwork. It’s designed for teams, families or friends, with a smartphone in hand to scan the QR codes dotted along the route. The mist will soon lift: it’s up to you to discover who killed Jean Le Carou.
