Movember: let’s talk about men’s health and prevention
The Thursday 26 November at 13 a.m30
Salle de la Plage 14360 TROUVILLE-SUR-MER
Every year in November, Movember raises awareness of men’s health. In Trouville-sur-Mer, the Communal Centre for Social Action (CCAS) is organising an afternoon event where you can find out more, ask questions and talk to healthcare professionals and organisations.
Programme:
– 1.30 pm: welcome by the Lions Club
– 2.00 pm: a 30-minute medical talk by Dr Quillan, an oncologist specialising in urology, on male cancers, their prevention and the importance of screening
– 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm: sophrology sessions
Throughout the afternoon, prevention and information stands will be open to the public:
– ESI 14 (Education, Solidarity, Information);
– Équemauville Medical and Psychological Centre (CMP);
– The Cancer League;
– CLIC for the Calvados Department.
The team from the Équemauville CMP will also be performing awareness-raising sketches. A photographer will be on hand to capture the afternoon’s highlights. Students on the BTS Tourism course at the André Maurois Sixth Form College will be on hand to guide visitors.
Have you let your moustache grow? A barber will be on hand to trim it. In return, you can make a donation of your choice to the François Baclesse Centre to support the fight against cancer.
