Les Toiles de Verre – Stained-glass workshops

The Les Toiles de Verre workshop welcomes curious visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in the world of stained glass and glass art. A range of creative workshops is available for individuals, families or groups of friends, offering the chance to discover techniques as varied as leaded glass, the Tiffany method and fusing.
Each session is tailored to a specific age group and skill level: the youngest children (from 3 years old) can try their hand at making suncatchers or wind chimes to decorate, whilst teenagers and adults can try their hand at glass painting, rose window design, coat of arms design or a proper half-day introduction to stained glass. An adult-child pair option is also available for the introductory sessions on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The workshop is led by a passionate craftsperson, steeped in the tradition of stained-glass artists, and keen to pass on her enthusiasm for this material with its infinite possibilities.
► SESSIONS:
> Saturdays 19 and 26 December and Saturday 2 January
– 1.30 pm – 6.00 pm: introduction to the art of stained glass — adults and children aged 12 and over — €70 per adult / €55 per child / €90 for a parent-child pair
> Tuesdays 22 and 29 December
– 2.00 pm – 2.45 pm: making a wind chime and a scratch card — ages 3 to 6 — €11
– 3.00 pm – 4.00 pm: making a stained-glass paper lantern — aged 8 and over — €12
> Thursdays 24 and 31 December
– 10.00 am – 10.45 am: dinosaur or unicorn suncatcher — ages 3 to 6 — €10
– 11.00 am – 12.30 pm: ceramic painting, choice of piece and subject — aged 8 and over — €14
– 1.30 pm – 6.00 pm: introduction to the art of stained glass — ages 12 and over — €70 adult / €55 child / €90 for two
> Fridays 25 December and 1 January
– 11.00 am – 12.15 pm: glass painting, framed rose window or coat of arms — ages 8 and over — €15
– 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm: introduction to stained glass, group activity — €30 per person
