Adil and Lulu are a strong, close-knit couple, deeply in love. But their lives are marred by an irreparable wound: they are unable to have children. For Lulu, this pain becomes unbearable. Rather than succumbing to despair, she chooses to charge ahead: coming up with one idea after another, throwing herself into projects, chasing parties, noise and chaos. She wants to feel alive at any cost, as if to fill a void that haunts her.
Adil watches this downward spiral with concern. A philosophy lecturer, he clings to stability and their shared history, whilst sensing that this frantic race can only lead to their downfall… *Voyage à Napoli* is a romantic epic in which light-heartedness conceals a dull ache, where laughter shatters against absence, and where Naples becomes the mirror of a couple losing their way.
