For one morning, the bookshop L’Usage du Papier is hosting the illustrator Alice Dufay, who has come to present her latest book, *Sofia, or How I Underwent IVF on My Own at the Age of 43*, published in 2026 by Textuel.
A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Caen, Alice Dufay creates a world that is both dreamlike and poetic, brought to life by a mischievous and perfectly mastered style. Her drawings combine simple, precise lines with clean, minimalist shapes, sketched in ink. Winner of the Normandy Prize at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2018, she also created the giant colouring mural exhibited on the banks of the Seine as part of Paris’s bid for the 2024 Olympic Games. In 2023, a creative residency in Togo inspired her to produce a self-published comic, *Les Aventures d’Alice au Togo*.
Join us on Sunday 18 October at 11 am, at 76 rue des Bains, to chat with the author and take home a signed copy.
