[Schools] What is a museum? – guided tour
The tour offers an insight into the museum as an institution, its history and its remit. The concepts of heritage and heritage preservation are explored through real-life examples. Through a tour of the galleries to explore the works in the collection, pupils learn about the various roles within the museum (curator, restorer, cultural mediator, collections manager, museographer, exhibition curator, scenographer, etc.).
