[School] Annual ‘Little Explorers’ project
Over the course of several months, the pupils discover various locations in Caen, which they have chosen together in advance. They explore these places using their senses in order to find the treasure and the next location to explore!
Each month (the frequency can be adjusted), your class discovers a new historic site in the city of Caen, along with its little secrets: Abbaye aux Dames, Hôtel d’Escoville, Place de la République, Jardin des Plantes – all periods are represented, and the sites can be tailored to your class projects!
At each of these sites, your pupils are set a challenge and will need to use all their senses to explore Caen’s heritage for themselves: spot-the-difference games, measuring a façade using parts of their bodies, reconstructing a façade using Kapla blocks, riddles of all kinds, taste-and-texture matching… And many other mini-games make up the challenges that each team must complete to open the treasure chest!
