From April to September, our guide Christelle takes you on a journey back in time to the Saint-Aubin of the 19th century, when sea bathing was all the rage. Discover this seaside resort as it was in its early days.
Take a two-hour stroll along the seafront, accompanied by our passionate guide who has a wealth of fascinating anecdotes to tell, and you’ll plunge into a world where history and architecture are one and the same.
With the help of numerous archives, remnants of a time when villas were built right on the dune, you’ll be able to share in the intimacy of the people of Saint-Aubin and the many activities that used to punctuate their lives.
This tour, which is accessible to people with reduced mobility, will reveal some of the well-kept secrets of this former social life, from the many shows organised at Watson’s to the names of the various celebrities who visited the beautiful beach at Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer.
