Parcours mouche de Saint-Lô
Located in the town of Saint-Lô, this fly fishing course benefits from a quiet setting dominated by the town's castle. In this sector, the Vire flows between two steep hillsides and alternates pools and riffles favorable to the catching of shad, a fighting fish that guarantees strong sensations. The greenway which runs along the river, offers an easy access to the course whose banks allow an easy fishing.
Some advices : For this type of course, equip yourself with a 10 feet rod, that is to say n°7-8 not less, and don’t go below 20/100 in the head of the diving line to touch the bottom and maybe a nice fish. On the lure side, shad are not difficult if the weighted fly is presented at the right depth; alternating dull and shiny flies can sometimes trigger hits.
