H'Omaha Nature – Longe côte

Longe côte, also known as water walking, is a gentle sport that involves walking in the sea, with water between your waist and your chest. Accessible to all, it is done at a moderate pace and allows you to take full advantage of the benefits of the marine environment while exercising your whole body.

The sessions are supervised and friendly, inviting participants to move around in the water as a group, in complete safety. The natural resistance of the water strengthens the muscles while remaining gentle on the joints. Everyone progresses at their own pace, in a relaxed and stimulating atmosphere.

Practised on Omaha Beach, longe côte offers a unique experience between the sea and the horizon. The sea air, the waves and the vastness of the coastline create an exceptional setting in which to relax and recharge your batteries.

This activity is renowned for its many benefits: improving blood circulation, strengthening muscles, improving balance and stimulating the cardiovascular system. The water also has a natural massaging effect that promotes recovery and a feeling of well-being.

Accessible to beginners and regular participants alike, coastal longeering is an original and invigorating way to keep fit while taking full advantage of the emblematic landscapes of the Normandy coast.
And maybe you’ll have the pleasure of meeting the seal that regularly accompanies us on our outings.

The starting point for the coastal walk is the Ruquet car park in St-Laurent-sur-mer.
