D-DAY Night by the Omaha Secret D-Day Museum
NEW D-DAY NIGHT,
a unique immersive experience to relive that incredible night of 6 June 1944.
Organised by the D-DAY OMAHA Museum, immerse yourself in the decisive event that was the D-Day landings: ‘The shortest night before the longest day’.
D-Day Night is an immersive experience, combining visual and narrative elements with a field trip. It offers participants the chance to experience the secret preparations and the morning of the landings on Omaha Beach.
At the Omaha Secret Normandy Cottages estate, in a group of up to 20 people, you will be guided by history enthusiasts who own an impressive private collection of Second World War artefacts.
The ‘D-Day Night’ will allow you to relive together the chronology of a night filled with fascinating and moving stories, exploring the historical facts and personal accounts of one of the most crucial moments in our history.
Participants will go through several stages: a briefing, an introduction to the code (the museum has an Enigma machine), a meal and the chance to handle items from the collection (including a night-time tour of the museum), …
The experience will culminate in the arrival of the largest military alliance the world has ever known (virtual reality experience).
Together, you’ll take the time to understand the ins and outs of this incredible night, a key turning point in history.
From 7 pm to 11 pm, the context, the stakes and the key mechanisms behind the success of this military operation will be revealed to you through a series of engaging and interactive sessions that will punctuate your evening.
