Theatre: The Women’s Choir – Actes Uniques Theatre Company

Theatre – Ages 14 and over

Jean Atwood, a brilliant and ambitious junior doctor, finds herself thrust into a women’s health department she did not choose. Abortion, contraception, domestic violence, terminal cancers: it is the patients, not the doctors, who will teach her her trade.
Freely adapted from Martin Winckler’s ensemble novel, this production—starring three performers—is a powerful work exploring listening, care, personal and institutional violence, and empowerment.
This production tackles the sensitive subject of sexual violence and includes a scene with strobe lighting effects.
