The Franciscan Sisters on Stage: Sleeping Beauty, by the Ubique Collective

The Collectif Ubique reimagines Perrault’s famous fairy tale in an inventive musical production where theatre, song and period instruments come together. A sensitive reinterpretation that reveals the full richness and modernity of this great coming-of-age story.

By taking on *Sleeping Beauty*, the Collectif Ubique restores the full depth to a tale often reduced to the image of a sleeping princess. Driven by a lively performance and live music, this adaptation explores the themes of the passing of time, the passing on of traditions and emancipation. True to its artistic vision, the company skilfully blends theatre, storytelling, song and period instruments in a format accessible to all audiences. Combining humour, poetry and musical virtuosity, the performers invite young and old alike to rediscover the symbolic power of this timeless tale, in which waiting becomes a promise of rebirth and openness to the world.
