The Amazing Heritage: The children of Bayeux during the war

The Wednesday 28 October at 10 a.m30

BAYEUX 14400 BAYEUX

Discover the story of a town miraculously transformed during the Second World War, from Occupation to Liberation, through the eyes of Bayeux?s children. They will tell you about their daily lives during the war, how they felt about the occupying forces, and how they sometimes helped to welcome refugees or care for the wounded in this "hospital town". Privileged and mischievous witnesses to events, Bayeux?s children have left us their stories and anecdotes. Young and old alike will become players in this story, thanks to a life-size role-playing game that will take them to the most emblematic places of this period. Games, soundtracks and archive footage enable families to understand the events that affected mainland France's first liberated town in the aftermath of D-Day, from a child's point of view.
