Stuff of Dreams

The Saturday 07 November at 14 a.m00

17 Rue Cachin Galerie 17 14600 HONFLEUR

The exhibition “Matière de songe”, on display at 17 Rue Cachin, is not merely a collection of forms, but a silent journey in which the muted strength of stoneware, the luminous vulnerability of raku pieces and the mineral beauty of engraved slate.

These compositions – or wall-mounted ceramic ‘paintings’ – are conceived as veritable ephemerides, where the passing of clouds seems to be frozen in the silences of the material, and where the subtle imprint of vegetation engages with the infinity of the sky.
In these suspended ‘bi’ discs and these ‘Hemispheres’, these reliefs with their open geometries, the Raku fire has left its unpredictable crackling and smoky black marks, tracing a sensitive geography where chance becomes an accomplice and where the imperfection of wabi-sabi rises to the level of pure poetry.

Each work resonates here like an intimate cosmogony, an ecology of the gaze attentive to living things, to wild grasses, to sediments and to the passing of time, inviting everyone to slow down and let their eyes brush against this living memory, steeped in dreams and patience.

The exhibition brings together a selection of 20 paintings.
