Play: My Father Had Three Cows

Over the past 60 years, the agricultural world has undergone a dramatic transformation.
Delving into his childhood memories of life on the farm, Yves-Marie Le Texier retraces the thread of a personal story to explore the changing face of rural life: rural identity, the plight of farmers, the environment, heritage and regional identity.
With humour, tenderness and clarity, he embodies five incarnations of himself – five possible life paths – in a deeply human narrative that engages directly with the issues facing our countryside today.
“A committed and passionate perspective, free from the pitfalls of judgement”
