This year, *Le Goût du Large* will be dedicating a space to poetry, by inviting a poet, David Silvestre, author of the collection *Le corail et la noix*.
Coral and the nut are the two edible parts of a marine creature, the scallop, brought to us with determination by a human chain of knowledge and techniques, passion and intelligence, right up to the moment we savour it, eye to eye.
What is the desire that leads us to consume it?
What does this say about us, as human beings?
David Silvestre’s poetic work—at once graphic, syntactic and rhythmic—traces paths of meaning and sensation, inviting us to experience this complex ballet centred on the scallop shell, with its multitude of human and non-human actors.
