To mark Équidays, the Ferme de la Baronnie is holding open days at its horse park on Sunday 18 and Wednesday 21 October to introduce visitors to mountain trail riding: a fun discipline accessible to all, where the bond between rider and horse is at the heart of the experience.
Inspired by the trails found in the great outdoors, mountain trail involves negotiating various small obstacles: footbridges, tree trunks, narrow passages and small mounds… All carried out with calm, precision and confidence.
Two morning sessions, each lasting 1½ hours, will be offered to adults keen to discover mountain trail and step into the world of this fun discipline, which is accessible to all (from complete beginners to seasoned riders). Originating in the United States, it is designed to showcase the outdoor horse: calm, reliable and responsive to its rider.
On the programme: an introduction to the discipline, a demonstration at the Horse Park (specially designed for riding obstacle courses inspired by nature), followed by a taster session on horseback to explore the various features of the course (footbridges, jumps, technical sections…).
A special opportunity to understand the bond of trust between rider and horse, and to enjoy an immersive experience at the heart of the Horse Park.
