Creative workshop – Lucie Delarue-Mardrus and craftivism

The Saturday 07 November at 15 a.m00

Place de la Porte de Rouen Médiathèque Maurice Delange 14600 HONFLEUR

This November, we invite you to honour the memory of Lucie Delarue-Mardrus, a Norman woman of letters and poet who was deeply attached to her region, yet also deeply concerned about children’s welfare and the plight of animals.

This workshop will be an opportunity for us to explore ‘craftivism’ together – a form of activism that uses craft as a means of expression and political and social reflection.

We’ll take the time to reflect on what we wish to take away from Lucie’s legacy, the values in her life’s journey that resonate with us, and how we can bring them to life today.

Then, we will embroider using cross-stitch, allowing the threads, the movements and the words to engage with our own sensibilities.

Please make sure to bring your embroidery kit, including your embroidery hoop.
