The Ensemble des Marais invites you on a musical journey on Sunday 29 November 2026 at the Petit Logis de la Baronnie at 5.00 pm.
Setting off from Vigo in Spain and crossing the oceans to Waipu in New Zealand, you will be treated to a selection of traditional and contemporary tunes and dances, arranged for voices, flutes, guitar, violin, viola and cello.
Among the contemporary compositions are excerpts from *Köterana* (Scotland in the Māori language), an epic tale of migration written by the Scottish violinist Iain Fraser.
The Ensemble des Marais is part of the Musique dans les Marais association and comprises seven musicians, all from different musical backgrounds, ranging from early music to folk and jazz, via classical and Baroque music.
The Ensemble des Marais has been performing tunes and dances from England, the Celtic countries and the Scandinavian countries for many years.
