Concert: Alain Chamfort

2024 will mark Alain Chamfort’s grand return across the board: a new album preceded by an EP (a musical format longer than a single but shorter than a full-length album) in collaboration with Sébastien Tellier, and a phased re-release of his extensive catalogue.
In the run-up to this, Alain Chamfort has devised a special event for his audience: a show bringing together the greatest songs of his career, during which he will take part in a live interview. On stage, accompanied by his pianist and long-time collaborator, the Franco-American singer and presenter Valli, he will share anecdotes and highlights from his professional life: his early days as a musician, notably alongside Jacques Dutronc; his debut as a singer with Claude François; the ‘Gainsbourg’ years, during which he recorded three albums; the creation of his songs; the encounters that have shaped his life; the successes and setbacks – everything that makes life worth living.
Combining personal stories with piano performances, this unique event will shine a spotlight on the songs from his repertoire (“Manureva”, “Bambou”, “Chasseur d’Ivoire”, “Traces de toi”, ‘La Fièvre dans le sang’, ‘Clara veut la Lune’…) and other lesser-known gems that feature throughout the albums of his career.
