Normandy’s antique fairs always promise exciting treasure hunts, where professional antiques buyers and enthusiasts are spoilt for choice! We’ve compiled our favourite five antiques fairs to visit during your trip to Normandy, whether you love antiques and vintage shopping or just enjoy a good old rummage.

Rouen Place Saint-Marc antiques fair

Along with the Rouen flea market held in September, the weekly antiques fair on the Place Saint-Marc in Rouen is a paradise for bargain hunters. This feast of vintage, nostalgic and contemporary treasures takes place all day long on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 1pm on Sundays. If you really want to immerse yourself in antiques, in addition to this weekly market you can also find 30 professional antique dealers on Rouen’s rue Eugène Boudin every Friday, with pieces to please the most expert antiques hunter.

Granville antiques fair

Known to hold one of the most famous carnivals in France, the seaside town of Granville, nicknamed the ‘Monaco of the North’ brings together the best antiques sellers every third Sunday of the month. Antiques enthusiasts can find great second-hand goods at bargain prices, from vintage furniture to old ceramics, tableware and antique toys.

Cormeilles antiques fair

An antiques fair that only started in 2020, the town of Cormeilles’ association of craftsmen and merchants is running seven antiques fairs in 2020, providing a great opportunity for visitors to combine treasure hunting, a visit to the local Busnel calavdos distillery, and sightseeing in the picturesque Pays d’Auge, renowned for its traditional half-timbered houses, and cheese and cider producers.

Beuvron-en-Auge antiques fair

Every July, the village of Beuvon-en-Auge, officially recognised as one of the ‘most beautiful villages in France’, provides the beautiful backdrop to this three-day antiques fair extravaganza. Amid the apple trees and pretty half-timbered facades, antiques sellers and enthusiasts gather to haggle over rare antiques and collectibles. A potential goldmine full of vintage treasures!

Bellême antiques fair

Every year on the first Sunday of August, the market town of Bellême in the Perche Regional Natural Park hosts a antiques fair attracting more than 40 antique dealers, where visitors can browse and purchase perfectly preserved and restored 19th-century furniture and vintage collectibles from the 1960s and 1970s. There’s never been a better reason to visit the Perche and snag yourself a bargain!
