The Manoir d'Angoville

In Cricqueville-en-Auge, Le Manoir d’Angoville puts apples centre stage, with that little extra touch of character we love to find in the Pays d’Auge: a production facility, a farm shop and genuine expertise in cider-making. Here, the organic apples don’t stay in the orchards for long. They make their way from the hillside to the bottle with a single aim in mind: to preserve the flavour, the fruit and the character of the Normandy terroir.
The farm practises organic farming across 15 hectares of apple orchards planted on sun-drenched slopes of flint-rich clay. This setting already sets the tone. This is a farm where the landscape matters just as much as the produce. Around twenty heritage varieties are grown here to produce, using traditional methods, a fine range of cider products: cider vinegar, apple juice, cider and aged calvados. Together, these elements make for a gourmet destination, deeply rooted in its local terroir, which appeals as much to lovers of local produce as to visitors keen to understand what goes into a well-crafted bottle.
Le Manoir d’Angoville also produces honey from the hives on its land.
The estate also invites visitors behind the scenes, with a presentation and tasting of the products at the cider press. This approach makes the visit more hands-on, more vivid, almost tactile. You gain a clearer understanding of where the flavours come from, what distinguishes apple juice from a more structured cider, and why heritage varieties make all the difference in the glass. The Manoir d’Angoville has the charm of an off-the-beaten-track gem: organic orchards, a cider press and a range of cider-based products.
