Boutique Le Lieu Roussel
The Lieu Roussel farm is nestled in the heart of green valleys, surrounded by 1,800 tall apple trees where Normandy cows graze on the grass.
A real postcard of the Pays d’Auge, Eric and Régine Maertens are delighted to welcome you to discover their farming profession and the origins of their cider products, which are certified organic.
The apples are harvested and the cider products produced during the autumn. Depending on the year, between 100 and 180 tonnes of apples are harvested. You can take part in the harvesting and watch the ciders being made at special events.
They sort and process their harvest on site and bottle their PDO Pays d’Auge and farmhouse ciders, as well as Calvados, cider vinegar and pommeau. Pomme wine is another way to enjoy the farm’s apple varieties.
In their farm shop, you can sample these products as well as apple juice and sparkling apple juice. They also sell products from neighbouring producers (jams, terrines, honey, etc.).
You can take full advantage of the countryside and picnic under the apple trees.
