Trouville Hennequeville Sailing Club (CNTH)

Situated on the beach at Trouville-sur-Mer, where the beaches of Trouville and Hennequeville meet, the Trouville-Hennequeville Sailing Club (CNTH) enjoys an exceptional setting with a panoramic view of the Bay of Seine. Recognised as being in the public interest and accredited as a French Sailing School by the French Sailing Federation, the CNTH is a leading centre on the Normandy coast for water sports and beach activities.

? Activities for everyone

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sailor, a child or an adult, the CNTH offers a comprehensive range of activities: catamaran sailing, windsurfing, speed-sailing, sand yachting, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, surfing, bodyboarding, kite flying and kitesurfing. All ability levels are catered for by a team of state-qualified instructors, in a safe and fully equipped environment.

For those wishing to learn or improve their skills, weekly courses are organised during the school holidays for children aged 7 and over, available as half-day or full-day sessions. Private lessons are also available in catamaran sailing and windsurfing.

Prefer to sail at your own pace? The ‘à la carte sailing’ option lets you hire ready-to-use kit (wetsuit, lifejacket, helmet) and enjoy the water at your leisure after a safety briefing.

? Sand yachting and speed-sailing: a CNTH speciality

At low tide, the vast sandy expanses become the ideal playground for sand yachting and speed-sailing, two disciplines in which the CNTH excels. Affiliated with the French Sand Yachting Federation and accredited as a Sand Yachting Centre, the club offers sessions for all levels, by appointment, supervised by qualified instructors. Equipment (wetsuits and helmets) is provided.

? For groups and organisations

The CNTH is also an ideal partner for group events: works councils, seminars, holiday camps, school trips (primary, secondary and sixth-form colleges)… The club has the necessary staff, equipment and facilities (clubhouse, classroom, toilets) to organise bespoke water sports days. A quote is available on request. Groups can also stay at the campsite on land adjacent to the club.

? Competition and training

The CNTH also supports athletes involved in competitive sailing, offering quarterly training sessions for children, teenagers and adults, as well as participation in local regattas and departmental championships throughout the year.

? Practical information

– Sailing activities: open from March to December.
– Sand yachting: open all year round, at low tide and by appointment.

The CNTH is affiliated to the French Sailing Federation (FFV) and the French Sand Yachting Federation (FFCV), and is accredited by the Youth and Sport Directorate.

A non-profit organisation recognised as being of general interest under the 1901 Act: a tax receipt is issued for all donations.
