Spotlight on Bernières and its graffiti.

This 3km itinerary takes you on a tour of Bernières’ rich heritage, following the signs put up by the Bernières Optique Nouvelle association and the local council.

You’ll discover some of the graffiti left by unknown sailors on the façades of certain buildings.

What is graffiti?
Graffiti are inscriptions or drawings scrawled on walls, in this case in the shape of boats. They date back several centuries.

Did you know that? Until the 17th century, Bernières was an important trading port.
