[School groups] Visit to the ‘Self-Portrait’ exhibition
"Who am I?" The question is as serious as it is unreasonable. Would you like to answer it? Delve into the secrets of the archives from which the writer Thomas Clerc drew the material for a highly unusual exhibition. Forgotten letters, fragments, notebooks, collages, photo-novels…. Thomas Clerc crafts his self-portrait by losing himself in those of others. Marvellous manuscripts or tiny archive items, eternal stars or little-known figures, past or present… Their lives brought together, their obsessions, their poses, their grandeur and their silences become the multifaceted mirror of a quest: to tell one’s own story by telling the stories of others. Self-portrait.
