Plage de la Saline
In Cherbourg's harbor, Plage de la Saline stretches for almost 600 meters to the north of the town.
Popular with fishermen on foot, thanks to the many rocks sheltering all kinds of shellfish, it is also a popular spot for families.
However, swimming is prohibited.
A five-hectare area has been redeveloped to welcome tourists and develop leisure activities, including play areas for children.
A catering and refreshment center has been set up in one of the former fortifications close to the play area.
The park continues along the cycle path.
