Nature walks – Discovering the beach and the sea

What is a tide line? How are tides formed? What do whelk eggs look like? What shellfish are hiding amongst the rocks? To uncover the secrets of the beach, set off on an adventure with Bruno Outters, a professional diver from Trouville, a local figure and a passionate advocate for marine flora and fauna.
This 7 km educational and eco-friendly walk, from the promenade jetty to the Roches Noires cliffs, offers a three-hour opportunity to appreciate the richness and fragility of coastal ecosystems. On the way back, everyone is encouraged to make a small eco-friendly gesture: picking up some of the rubbish left behind by the tides.
Accessible to anyone of average fitness, the walk does, however, include a few more challenging sections: walking on sand, rocks, mud and steep paths. The walk is subject to the guide’s approval, who will check that everyone’s clothing and footwear are suitable. Some walks take place in the evening: a torch or headlamp is therefore essential.
