Les Étonnants Patrimoines – In the footsteps of the ghost of Baron Gérard
The MAHB collections have been housed in the former palace of the bishops of Bayeux since 2013. And sometimes we hear strange noises, whispers, creaking wooden floors… With such an old building, it's hardly surprising that we have a few ghosts.
A few weeks ago, we captured the image of one of them on our surveillance cameras. It’s the ghost of Baron Gérard, a major donor to the museum! He’s a very tricky ghost who likes to move and hide paintings, especially around Halloween.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to decipher the clues left by the works in the museum and help us find the painting stolen by Baron Gérard’s ghost within the allotted time.
What will participants have to do during their visit?
Accompanied by a mediator, the children work in teams to decipher the clues hidden in the museum, while learning about the history of Bayeux, taking part in fun mini-activities and exercising their sense of observation.
