Les Amis de la cathédrale: the upper parts (towers and roof timbers)
The Friends of Bayeux Cathedral association is offering one-hour guided tours of the upper parts of the cathedral between 2 pm and 5 pm during Heritage Days (19 and 20 September): the towers, the 13th- and 17th-century roof structures, the belfry dating from 1194, the hoist wheel, its carillon of 11 bells, and an exceptional view of Bayeux. You must be physically fit!
Ages 12 and over. Duration of the tour: 1 hour. Booking is compulsory via the Friends of the Cathedral website. A voluntary donation is warmly encouraged to support the association’s charitable work.
